Softly Softly star Stratford Johns warns against drink-driving and Shaw Taylor introduces car seatbelts. Michael Palin performs a Pythonesque parody with a serious message about driving too close, while Play School favourite Derek Griffiths explains how to protect your bike. There are several of Richard Massingham’s famous public information films, Jimmy Hanley presents some short films on car travel and many much-loved cartoon characters also feature. The films portray a nostalgic view of British life from the 50s to the 80s, with charming scenes, vehicles and fashions of the era.
