When a soldier returns from the Far East after the war, he and his wife have to adjust to life at home. Made in 1946 just after the second world war, this topical film tells the story of Roger, (Don Stannard) a former pilot who struggles to adapt to Civvy street after the war. The pressure tells on his marriage and he decides to leave his wife. Excellent Musical soundtrack from the time.

Geoffrey Faithful directs, whom is better known as a British cinematographer (The Lavender Hill Mob, 1951 and Village of the Damned, 1960). Even more interesting is the casting of Don Stannard as the hero, Roger Meredith. Stannard went on to play Dick Barton in the three Dick Barton films (1948-49). A lover of fast cars, Stannard was killed in 1949. Produced at Nettlefold Studios, Walton-on-Thames. Features The
London Symphony Orchestra (guest vocalists: John McHugh and Sylvia Welling) a Choir of the Welsh Guards (in uniform) and a forerunner of Andre Rieu, Albert Sandler and his Palm Court Orchestra along with radio`s popular organist, Sandy MacPherson setting the story scenes.
